Jade Goody is recovering in hospital after a truly horrific few days in her ongoing battle with terminal cancer this morning, but husband Jack Tweed isn't by her side - instead, he's fighting for his freedom again as he appears in court to defend further assault charges.
Jack is currently on an electronic tag and curfew following his early release after assualting a 16-year old with a golf club, and today he's accused of attacking taxi driver Stephen Wilkins after a night out at Club 195 in Essex.
Epping magistrates this morning heard that the trouble kicked off when Tweed and two female companions couldn't pay upfront for their taxi journey, and grabbed the driver by his neck when he tried to turn the car around. Jack is accused of snarling: "Just f*cking drive, you c*nt", while strangling Wilkins, who also alleges that he threatened: "I will stab you, you f*cking c*nt" and "I'll bite your f*cking head off". He also says that Jack spat in his face while he was so angry.
If found guilty, Jack will probably face a further six months in prison. Suddenly, it starts to make sense why Jeff Brazier doesn't want Jack around his kids after Jade dies, doesn't it?
