BBC was "homophobic" to Lohan

A BBC Three programme broadcast last year called 'The Most Annoying People of 2008' has been described as crude and offensive by the BBC Trust's Editorial Standards Committee.

Commentators including DJ Spoony and the porn star Ron Jeremy made vulgar comments specifically about lesbian couple Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson, including moaning that Ronson had "pulled" Lohan because she was a "munter" and a "minger". Later vulgar slurs included Ron Jeremy saying he would like to ejaculate over them several times. Most offensively, Spoony claimed: "Hollywood superstars: they should always be saved for guys."

The ESC found these comments were in breach of the editorial guidelines, and reinforced homophobic opinions. As a result, stricter guidelines are being issued to programme-makers.
