The estate of Adam Goldstein, aka DJ AM, have launched legal action for "wrongful death" against the plane company (Clay Lacy Aviation) that chartered the jet that crashed with him and Blink 182 frontman Travis Barker onboard in South Carolina, a year before DJ AM died.
Their reasoning is that the crash inflicted such pain on Adam that he had to start using drugs alongside further medication for anxiety, particularly whenever he had to fly again. They say that as the drugs caused his death, and he wouldn't have needed them without that crash, it means the plane company are responsible. Additionally named are companies including the travel service, Learjet, Goodyear, plus the estates of two pilots who lost their lives that day.
Where do you stand on this???? Do you think they have a case? Personally, I think this really sounds completely frivolous. If you're using drugs to the point you kill yourself, which is what Adam did, then the person responsible is you. Get help, kick the habit. That's your call alone.
