Moss hit up the Oxford Street store of the retail chain last night with boyfriend Jamie Hince to choose a series of gifts for daughter Lila Grace. Lila, aged 6, is clearly a girlie girl, as Kate picked out a number of pink gifts, including the full Hello Kitty! range of Christmas merchandise.

They strolled through Santa Monica, stopping at trendy boutiques to pick up treats for the former cocktail waitress before joining friends for lunch at Fred Segal.

Perhaps Ronnie is looking up pals in LA because no one in London wants to talk to him, after ditching his wife Jo for a Russian temptress 41-years his junior. Daughter Leah is refusing to see him, and close friend Jerry Hall recently refused to let him into her Richmond home, pledging her loyalty to Jo.

Waving to director Spike Lee, he hugged teen stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens warmly, and greeted Leonardo DiCaprio and Jack Nicholson, eventually taking his place beside new-best-friend David Arquette, the husband of former-Friends star Courtney Cox.

Lily Allen's party girl image was somewhat revived last night. After weeks of staying in, she hit the town with music producer Robertson Furze, managing to rack up visits to four venues over the course of the night. They visited Scott's, The Groucho, The Ivy's private members club, and The Mayfair Hotel, hooking up with T4 presenter pal Miquita Oliver en-route.

However, Lily hasn't fallen off the wagon completely - she didn't touch a drop of alcohol all night! She told reporters, "I'm not doing anything else just concentrating on my music. Music, music, music."

Wow! I'm impressed - now if only she could give up that filthy smoking habit....

Still, even if she feels embarrassed at showing her legs and bum at the press, spare a thought for defeated competitor Diana Vickers, who was turned away at the door for being too young (she's 17). Likewise, Danielle Lloyd was told she wasn't on the list, despite celebrating her 25th birthday yesterday. Poor cow - that's not a nice birthday present!

Madge backtracks on £50m divorce statement

Madonna was forced into an embarrassing climb-down this morning over statements made by her spokeswoman, Liz Rosenberg, claiming ex-husband Guy Ritchie received £50 million in their financial settlement.

A statement has been issued jointly by Madge and Guy, which reads:

"We have tried to maintain a dignified silence regarding the details of our divorce for the last few months whilst accepting the obvious media interest. A misleading and inaccurate statement, specifically in relation to the sums of money involved, was wrongly issued to Associated Press this week. The financial details of the settlement will remain private, save to say that both of us are happy with our agreement. Our primary concern, like any co-parents, is the care and well being of our children."

What an embarrassing U-turn for the Queen of Pop, and it's the first time she's ever criticised right-hand woman Rosenberg. Madonna really seems to be losing the PR war to her former husband right now....
