It looks like Sir Elton John found an interesting way to enjoy himself onstage last night!

I have a theory about what's going on here - Elt's getting on a bit now, and would really just like to kick back and relax at his country pile in Windsor. But the Rainforest Fund knew there was one way to tempt him out for their Carnegie Hall, NYC gig and booked all these dancing boys in pants for him. And ta-dah!! I'm just very grateful Elton kept his suit on, to be honest.

KATIE HALF PRICE

Katie Price has become Katie Half-Price, forced to slash the costs of her merchandise.

An ASDA spokesman confirmed that several of her lines were currently being dumped in clearance aisles, while bottles of her £33 perfume were up for sale on eBay at just 99p. One copy of her autobiography, 'A Whole New World', was sold for just 1p. One auctioneer even declared: "The interest has gone." Her spokesman insisted last night that the sales of current items weren't an issue because she's bringing out new books and cosmetics later this year, which sounds like a bad attempt to dodge questions about what's going on right now to me!

Wino tells Blake: "Go, go, go to rehab"

According to reports, Amy Winehouse has ordered Blake Fielder-Civil to go back to rehab.

Sources tell the Daily Star that Amy caught her ex-husband using drugs again, and ordered that he get help to reverse the relapse immediately. One so-called friend told the newspaper:

"Amy caught Blake misbehaving and hit the roof. She’s furious he’s still taking drugs and getting off his face while she’s not around to keep an eye on him. Amy’s worked really hard to turn her life around, to get clean and away from drugs. So far she’s been successful and finally seems happy with her future. However, she feels there’s no point in her struggling to stay off drugs when her boyfriend is gett ing high. Blake taking drugs just reminds her of the old days, when she spent hours wasting her life.
Everything was going so well. Amy hoped that they would get remarried, she wanted to fill her new London pad with Blake’s babies. Ss always, Blake threw that back in her face by getting off his head and not caring about their future."

Do you think this is true? The way I understood it, Blake has been staying up in Sheffield in recent months to continue his treatment anyway, so the idea of him being ordered back to rehab seems surprising. I don't think Blake should be criticised for relapsing, it's part of his recovery. So long as he's asking for, and getting, the help he needs, then he's doing his best.

Jarvis Cocker slams 'X Factor'

Britpop genius-turned-beardy weirdy Jarvis Cocker has slammed viewers of 'X Factor', complaining that fans of the series are only interested in fame rather than music. He reckons:

"You have to separate two things: there's being a musician and making music... then there's the fame thing, which I think everbody's curious about. That's why programmes like The X Factor are so popular, because they're about fame. I don't think anybody watches The X Factor thinking, 'Mmm... I'm going to hear some really interesting music tonight,' because you're not. You're going to hear songs that have been sung a million times before.
Those shows are about, 'Ooh this person lives in these circumstances, but they could become the butterfly, and they could soar'. It's this idea that people's lives can be transformed through fame. That side I don't like because I don't believe it's true."

I think it's quite a negative view - I would say Will Young or Leona Lewis have built genuine careers on the back of reality shows, and there are other people like Diana Vickers and JLS doing brilliantly in the charts. They certainly aren't recording the kind of enduring music that Jarvis made with Pulp in the Nineties, but that doesn't make them fame-hungry losers either.

I feel concerned for Sinitta's mental health if Simon Cowell gets married

Oh my lord -- I think Sinitta is actually cracking up over Simon Cowell's wedding plans!!!

She's going around telling newspapers that the 'X Factor' chief's wedding to make-up artist Mezhgan Hussainy won't go ahead, saying: "I really don't know if he'll go through with it. If he's really true to himself, he probably won't. He always said he never wanted to be married."

Does anyone think Sinitta's opinions are more to do with her unrequited love obsession with Simon than anything he's actually said or done? He seems very happy with Mezhgan to me!
