Peter Andre has signed up for a silly new ITV2 series called 'Peter Andre: Here To Help'.

The dreadful-sounding show will follow Pete driving around the UK in an ice cream van as he attempts to prove "that a little bit of community goes a long way." An ITV2 source adds: "We are hoping it will put a warm glow in people's hearts and a smile on their faces." Seriously?!!!

David Beckham visits Camp Bastion

National hero David Beckham has paid an emotional visit to Camp Bastion in Afghanistan.

Troops from 67 Squadron, 6 Regiment RLC were pretty thrilled to see him, asking him to autography everything from their fatigues to weapons. I hope the trip is a morale-booster! :-)

Ex-'Eastenders' actors Joe Swash and Kara Tointon have sadly ended their relationship.

A friend says Kara has gone off on holiday to Marbella to try and recover from the split, but she's taking it hard. The pal reveals: "She has lost a lot of weight and she is really upset - there's been a lot of tears. She's been wearing glasses all the time, not just because of the sunshine but because her eyes are swollen. Both she and Joe are really upset about it - but their rows were getting too frequent and they knew they could not make it work any more."

Russell Brand bans dad from wedding

Russell Brand has banned his father from attending his upcoming wedding to Katy Perry.

The 'Get Him To The Greek' funnyman took the difficult decision to spare his beloved mum Barbara's feelings, who split with Ron Brand when Russ wasvery young. A friend explains:

"The split happened a long time ago but there is still tension there. Russell's very close to his mum. He hates seeing her upset. To be fair Ron takes full blame for the split. He respects Russell's wishes and never wants to cause him grief. He's glad he's found the woman he wants to settle down with. Of course he would like to see his son get married but he is respectful of the situation."

Weddings are so bloody awkward in this era of divorce, aren't they??? You should just be focused on how in love you are, and instead you've got to worry about the guest list and who doesn't like who. I can understand Russell's decision, but I feel really sorry for his dad too :(

Dannii Minogue signs 'X Factor' deal

Dannii Minogue has reportedly signed a £450,000 contract to return to 'X Factor' this year.

Despite protracted and complicated negotiations about her time commitment in the wake of her pregnancy, the Australian mum-to-be has agreed to be ready for filming by September. It seems likely that producers wanted her back by this date to film the judges' houses stage of auditions so she could choose the acts she'd be responsible for mentoring on the live shows.

A source close to Dannii was at pains to stress she hasn't take a pay cut last night, insisting: "Dannii's pay is working out as like for like for the amount of episodes she has to film, if compared to the last series." £450,000 is less than she's used to, but it buys a lot of nappies.
