London's finest, most long-established fine seafood dining

Review

Where is it?

Scott's was once located on Coventry Street when opened in 1851 as an oyster house by fishmonger John Scott. These days it's a Mayfair fixture, and has been since the 1960s, as it's located on Mount Street. It's not a long walk from either Bond Street or Green Park tube stations.

What's it like?

Surrounded by antiques shops and fancy designer boutiques, this place has to be pretty flash to keep up. and the Brudnizki-designed opulent interior doesn't disappoint. The punters reek of expensive perfume, old money and just a dash of pretension. What's not to love?! We're talking Joan Collins dining with Percy in one corner while Biggins and Cilla live it up in another - not Big Brother contestants. Foodwise, expect oysters aplenty, whole crab, Dublin Bay prawns, potted shrimps, caviar and scallops as well as a full fish and meat menu. Prices are high, with seafood prices ranging from £25 to £90.

Why does Johnny Ikon love it?

I love the old-fashioned indulgence, the over-the-top surroundings and as for the food? Probably the best seafood in London!
