Exclusivity, fine cocktails and just a dash of Manhattan arrogance

Review

Where is it?

Situated underneath the St Martin's Lane Hotel, the London outpost of Amy Sacco's brainchild can be easily reached from Leciester Square, Covent Garden or Charing Cross tube stations.

What's it like?

Bungalow 8 is very small, very dark and very, very exclusive. It's a bit pretentious, and strictly members and their guests only. If you're not with a member, don't even bother trying. The cream of the crop including Jude Law, Kelly Osbourne and Mark Ronson all make this their regular London drinking hole, and regular DJ's include top London name Sam Young. The music can sometimes seem a little, errrr.... ironic, to be polite. You'll find a bit of Kylie or an 80s power ballad next to the latest funky electro cuts, but the crowd seems to lap it up.

Why does Johnny Ikon love it?

Sheer snobbery - so many other people can't get in, and I can. That's enough to make me smile!
